Terms of Trade

Please read these terms carefully as they are the terms under which the customer ("you") agrees to purchase products ("the products") from N & J Aluminium Linings Ltd ("the Company"). No other terms or representations shall form part of these terms unless agreed in writing between you and the Company. These terms do not affect your statutory rights.

2. Purchasing from Us

2.1 All prices are exclusive of VAT and Delivery charges unless otherwise stated.

2.2 All goods remain the property of N & J Aluminium Linings Limited until paid for in full.

2.3 The Company reserves the right to change prices and specifications on products without prior notification.

2.4 Orders will not be despatched until payment has been received in full. Cheques may be cleared before constituting payment unless agreed in writing before an order is placed - Account Customers only.

2.5 Despite the fact that any contract relating to orders placed through this website is concluded over the Internet, we each agree that it has been concluded in the United Kingdom in writing. Any such contract will be interpreted, construed and enforced in all respects in accordance with English law and we each irrevocably submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.

3. Damaged Goods

3.1 If goods are damaged in transit, this must be recorded in writing at the time of receipt. The Company cannot accept responsibility for damaged goods if the carriers proof of delivery has been signed for as received in good condition, so please check carefully before signing.

3.2 If goods are found to be faulty or incomplete, this must be reported in writing within seven days of receipt of the damaged goods.

4. Returns/ Cancellations/ Refunds

4.1 N & J Aluminium Linings Limited offer a Money Back Guarantee for goods returned or cancelled within 7 working days of receipt or order, subject to Clauses 3.2, 3.3, 3.4 & 3.5. This excludes bespoke goods that have been customised according to your specific instructions, for example colour matched [painted] products, products that have been custom fabricated, vehicles on which wheels and tyres are mounted according to your specific size, style or tread pattern requirements.

4.2 The Company will not be held liable for the loss in transit of any returned item(s), therefore we advise you to ensure the products are adequately packed and insured during any return journey. We would also advise you to use a courier or Special Delivery post if you are unable to deliver the products personally.

4.3 Returned goods will not be accepted by the Company if they are damaged, scratched or not retuned in protective packaging.

4.4 Returned goods will not be accepted by the Company if they have been fitted or altered in any way.

4.5 When returning goods to our distribution centre, all delivery costs and insurance must be paid for by the customer, unless you have received a prior written agreement from N & J Aluminium Linings Limited.

5. Refunds

5.1 Goods which are returned for credit, whether they were ordered correctly or incorrectly by a customer, will be liable to a 15% restocking charge, if received by us after 7 days. Please note that our 7 days' grace period applies to mail order transactions only, i.e. non face to face transactions.

5.2 All refunds will be less any carriage charges incurred..

5.3 Refunds will be made by credit/debit card, cheque or cash, at the discretion of the Company.

5.4 Monies paid on the behalf of the customer for special or bespoke products are non refundable in the case of cancellations of order. This will be fixed at the time of order.

6. Warranty Condition

6.1 If parts are found to be defective due to excessive use or normal wear and tear within the Warranty period, we will repair or replace the parts at our discretion.

6.2 It is the customer's responsibility to remove and replace faulty parts from a vehicle and return them to our centre.

6.3 The Company cannot be held responsible for accidents or resulting damage, where you have fitted products or wheels supplied by N & J Aluminium Linings Limited.

6.4 Any Manufacturer's Warranty issued in the USA or other countries other than the UK for products sold by the Company are null and void.

6.5 Due to the nature of the British climate, the Company cannot be held responsible for any oxidation of aluminium products or rusting and/or corrosion of chrome plated products or polished alloy finishes. The customer is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the surfaces of these products.

6.6 Please note all handles have a 12 month manufacturers warranty. All handles are deemed as a serviceable part and we advise to lubricate quarterly to uphold your 12 months warranty. If we deem the handles to have been abused or tampered with we withhold the right to refuse a replacement.

7. Wheels

7.1 Wheels are warranted for a period of one year against defective materials and workmanship. This Warranty does not cover damaged alloy, chrome or lacquered surfaces due to any of the following.

  • Normal on road use or off road wear and tear including stone chips;
  • Salted or gritted roads in winter, causing salt corrosion;
  • Use of abrasive or chemical cleaners.

7.2 Wheels should be cleaned using a mild soap and water solution. Chemical or abrasive cleaners and detergents should not be used on alloy wheels.

7.3 Polished alloy wheel finishes are not covered under Warranty as expressed in Clause 5.5.

7.4 When fitting wheels or tyres, it is the customer's responsibility to check that all wheels rotate freely by hand and do not catch the bodywork, brakes, chassis, etc., before driving away. Failure to follow this procedure could be dangerous and cause death or injury. Be safe and ensure that wheels are mounted correctly on the vehicle. Nuts should be re-torqued after 25 miles and before 50; check periodically with tyre pressures.

7.5 Chrome centre caps are not covered under Warranty as expressed in Clause 5.5.

8. Warranty Condition

8.1 We strongly recommend that you check with your local vehicle dealer before fitting any seat covers, A-bars or nudge bars, to ensure they will not affect operation of the airbags on your vehicle.

8.2 Errors & Omissions Excepted (E & O E).

9. General

The Company will not pass on, give or publish any customer details of any nature which are held by us, unless legally obliged to do so, or under instruction of the customer.

10. Confidentiality

Failure by the Company to enforce any of these terms will not affect its rights to enforce any of these terms at any time in the future. If at any time any of these terms or part of a term are/is found to be invalid or unlawful by any court then such term or part term shall be deemed severed from these terms and the remaining terms shall be deemed valid and subsisting. These terms are subject to change at any time without prior notice to you. The Company advises you to print and keep safe a copy of these terms.
