Review of Toyota HIlux dog Carriage and Security Drawers

Re Review of my Toyota Hilux Dog carriage and security drawers….

I am a Game Shooting and Deer Stalking Field Sportsman, I have 8 Gundogs which accompany me all over the UK to Game Shoots. I also carry sensitive equipment which requires secure storage. Two years ago I contacted N+J Aluminium linings of Clitheroe, Lancashire with a view to obtaining a quote for a “farm back”, dog transport/cages, ventilation and security drawers for my Toyota Hilux Invincible.

The team at NJ were first class, I had no hard plan and my ideas were soon converted into a sketch plan and a number of options and corresponding prices were debated. The price/quote was competitive.

Based on the many options discussed I made my decision and the vehicle was booked in for two separate fitting sessions to fit in with a number of other appointments, the NJ team could not have been more helpful. During waiting times I could either drop the Hilux off or wait in a comfortable waiting room with tea/coffee/refreshments.

Once completed I was extremely impressed, the aluminium chequer plate linings were immaculate and allowed very easy pressure washing of the dog kennel bays. The dog cages were easy to remove and had been fitted with quick release bolts to enable me to remove them if required. The security drawers ran the full length of the false floor and allowed two vast areas for storage which would be “out of view” and when locked, with the tailgate also locked provided extremely secure void. If the vehicle was then additionally reverved up against a wall it would be impossible to access the drawers without total removal/theft of the car.

I have now used the Hilux and the dog cages/security for two full Game Shooting Season’s, the kit has been subject to many compliments and has been easy to clean/maintain. The conversion has certainly added value to the car and although removable if wished I feel that a person with similar interests/needs as myself would find the conversion a very impressive addition on sale of the car.

I fully recommend N and J Aluminium linings.
